Guide to Downloading and Installing Office 365 Applications

Prerequisites

• You must have an active Office 365 account. (Your .edu account is an Office 365 account.)
• Have internet access.
• Compatible device (PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone).

Steps for Installation on PC or Mac

1. Access the Office 365 Portal
   • Open a web browser and go to https://www.office.com.
   • Sign in with your institutional or personal Office 365 account.
2. Download Office 365
   • On the home page, click the button «"Install Office"».
   • Select «"Office 365 Applications"».
   • An installation file will be downloaded to your computer.
3. Install Office 365
   • Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Wait for the installation to finish.
   • Once installed, open any Office application (Word, Excel, etc.) and follow the prompts to activate the license by entering your Office 365 account.
