Caribbean Camerata



The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music has four ensembles in residence. These are:

Caribbean Camerata

Camerata Caribe that, since its inception more than 25 years ago, the main purpose of this ensemble has been to encourage the creation of new works and arrangements for chamber ensembles and to promote the music of Puerto Rican composers. The ensemble is made up of members of the Piano, Woodwind and Brass departments and has performed on the most important stages in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and the United States.

Musical group that promotes the creation and exhibition of contemporary music by encouraging its composition and performance.

The Gil and Figueroa Duo, and the Sanromá Trio

Recently created ensembles in residence that complement the musical and cultural life of both our institution and Puerto Rican society in general.

Experimental Jazz and Caribbean Music Workshop (TEJ)

The Experimental Jazz and Caribbean Music Workshop's mission is to promote and encourage appreciation and interest in current jazz trends and encourage young people to study music.
