Student organizations provide an important space for fostering participation, leadership, collaboration, and a sense of community among our students. Through their activities, they contribute to enriching the student experience and creating a more active and diverse university life.
The CMPR recognizes the right of students to form student organizations, provided they comply with the procedures established in Article V of the General Student Regulations. To obtain official recognition, students must submit an application for student organization accreditation to the Dean of Student Affairs. Once the application is received, the Student Organization Accreditation Committee will be convened to evaluate and approve applications from new organizations.
Access to: Student Organization Proposal Form.
For questions or guidance regarding student organizations and the accreditation process, you can contact the Dean of Student Affairs at 787-751-0160 Ext. 263., asuntosestudiantiles@cmpr.edu.

This organization, created in September 2026, is a student-run organization whose purpose is to foster a sense of belonging, collaboration, and service within the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music through active student participation. The CMPR Volunteer Association seeks to create an organized network connecting students willing to contribute with real needs within the student community. The organization will connect students' skills, knowledge, and willingness to serve with initiatives related to communication, peer mentoring, academic support, logistics, inclusion, and community projects. It will allow students to contribute according to their skills, interests, and availability, without having to individually create a project from scratch. The association will complement existing institutional initiatives and will not replace the functions of CMPR departments or professionals.

Founded in September 2026, this student organization aims to foster a strong sense of community based on learning, commitment, honesty, responsibility, and effective communication among its members. It also seeks to empower students to develop their knowledge and skills while strengthening their sense of community and representing the discipline of Music Therapy both within and beyond the Conservatory.
Objectives of the Student Organization:
1. Create opportunities for Music Therapy students to connect with the community and the general public through musical, educational, and dynamic experiences.
2. Through this initiative, we seek to raise awareness of what Music Therapy is and the possibilities offered by our career, using music as a tool for connection, education, therapy and service.
3. To promote knowledge and interaction between the different disciplines of the Conservatory, as well as to bring our university community closer to the public.
4. Create an educational and interactive experience that allows the public to learn about Music Therapy in an accessible, dynamic and approachable way.
5. Complement what is learned in the classroom with practical experiences and topics that may be of interest to the students.
6. Strengthen collaboration between programs and demonstrate how different areas of music can complement each other.
7. To take the knowledge acquired outside the Conservatory and promote the social commitment of the students in an educational activity and community outreach.
8. To offer career guidance and help students visualize the different possibilities within Music Therapy.
9. To present and publicize Music Therapy to the public in order to teach and make the high school program known to anyone interested in learning about the career.
