Congratulations on being admitted to the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music!
We are delighted to welcome you to this new stage of your university and artistic training. After receiving your letter of admission, you will need to complete some important steps to officially begin your academic journey at CMPR.
1. Confirm your admission
To confirm your admission to CMPR, you will need to complete a confirmation form that will be sent by the Admissions Office. Once you complete this form and pay the corresponding fee, we can reserve your place so you can officially begin your university journey with us.

3. Submit your College Board results
You will need to submit your College Board scores, which are used to place you in Spanish and English courses based on your performance. We recommend sending this information as soon as possible, preferably on or before receiving your acceptance letter. The following scores on the College Board Puerto Rico and Latin America University Admission Tests (PAA) will be used to place students in required Spanish and English courses:
ESPA3001 – Spanish Section – 475 points
INGL3001 – English Section – 451 points
ESPA3002 – Spanish Section – 600 points
INGL3002 – English Section – 600 points
Students who do not achieve the minimum required score must take a remedial semester to address their oral and written communication deficiencies in the corresponding language. In this case, the language requirement will increase to a total of three semesters. Students who take and pass the Advanced Placement Tests (APTs) offered by CollegeBoard Puerto Rico and Latin America in both Spanish and English may be exempt from the Spanish and English courses, provided they achieve a score of three or higher on a five-point scale. If a student is exempted from taking one or both courses, they will receive credits but not a grade.

If a student does not provide proof of current health insurance coverage at the time of registration, they will be required to purchase the Conservatory's health insurance plan. This plan will be valid for the academic semester in which they are enrolled. Students will be insured from the first day of classes after completing the registration process and paying the corresponding individual insurance premium. If a student is active during the second semester, their health insurance coverage will extend through July.
