Institutional Research Office, under the strategic planning framework, has as its main objective to develop a culture of research, evaluation and discussion of data and institutional trends to enrich the decision making of both the academic and administrative management of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico (CMPR).
In addition, it aims to evaluate the institutional effectiveness of the academic programs and services offered by the CMPR, and develops skills to measure the progress achieved in the established goals.
It incorporates into its functions: Appraisal, Institutional Research and Strategic Planning. By establishing a culture of assessment, promote decision-making based on empirical data, measure the progress of the Strategic Plan and communicate the findings to the community.
It encourages the different offices to collect data related to the services they provide and offers them support in the analysis of the data to promote decision-making based on empirical data.
Promotes, supports and advises the design of valid and objective questionnaires to be used as instruments for the evaluation of academic and administrative processes and services.
Offers workshops to the institutional community that encourage cultivating and improving appraisal skills.
Advises the Rector's Office, Academic Senate and management in all management related to the development plans of the CMPR, providing necessary documented information for decision making.
Through institutional assessment and research, in close collaboration with the different offices, performance gaps are identified and courses of corrective action are planned.
It uses data generated by our institutional activity to produce statistics and studies that reflect our performance and help us continually improve ourselves. The studies carried out by the OII provide administrators and teachers with necessary and important information for decision-making.
