This course will equip the future classroom teacher with the necessary skills in improvising accompaniments from the traditional repertoire of Puerto Rican school songs through a practical approach to harmony and general music theory on the keyboard.

(Prerequisites: PLAB 3002/TMUS 3002/SOLF 3002)

(Required course for students of the Music Education specialty, course elective music for other specialties, 1 weekly hour, group, 1 credit)

Academic degree requirement:

Have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, equivalent university degree in music or those comparable offered by universities.
Credits: 1

Schedule: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.
