Audition Repertoire – Singing (2024)

1. Applicants must prepare five (5) selections, one in each of the following languages, performed in an appropriate key for their voice type.

1. Italian:
   • Bellissimo Aprile (Andrea Falconieri)
   • Caro mio ben (Giuseppe Giordani)
   • Sebben, crudele (Antonio Caldara)
2. Spanish:
   • Canción al árbol del olvido (Alberto Ginastera)
   • La canción de las piedras (Narciso Figueroa)
   • Del cabello más sutil (Fernando Obradors)
   • Voz del güiro (Ernesto Cordero)
3. German:
   • An die Musik (Franz Schubert)
   • Die Lotosblume (Robert Schumann)
   • Ich liebe dich (Ludwig van Beethoven)
4. French:
   • Au bord de l'eau (Gabriel Fauré)
   • Le Secret (Gabriel Fauré)
   • Lydia (Gabriel Fauré)
5. English:
   • Down by the Sally Gardens (Traditional Irish, arranged by Herbert Hughes)
   • My Lovely Celia (George Munro, arranged by Lane Wilson)
   • The Sky Above the Roof (Ralph Vaughan Williams)

1. Optional Repertoire: Applicants may also perform one aria from an opera, oratorio, operetta, or zarzuela. This selection is optional and does not replace any of the five required selections listed above.
