
The XXV Percussion Festival of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music was a spectacular event that brought together some of the most talented percussionists in the world. The event took place on May 5 and 6, 2023 in the Jesús María Sanromá Room of the Bertita y Guillermo L. Martínez Theater.
During the two-day festival, audiences had the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of musical genres and performance styles, all presented with an impressive level of virtuosity.
Additionally, there were workshops and master classes led by some of today's leading percussionists, allowing attendees to have an enriching experience and learn from the best.
Among the highlights of the festival were performances by artists such as: The Conservatory's Concert Jazz Band, under the direction of the teacher Elias Santos Celpa Music, together with Dr. Juan Alamo. The atmosphere of the festival was another of its strong points. The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music offered a unique and welcoming experience for the public, with an attractive and modern space that created the perfect environment to enjoy music. The audience also had the opportunity to interact with the performers and other percussion fans, creating a sense of community and camaraderie.
