Spanish Course 102
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, we had a visit from teachers Dimas Sánchez and Jesús Cepeda in Spanish 102 class.
They gave us a demonstrative lesson class with the topic of: History, literature, emigration in the bomb and plena.
Theme that was in accordance with the recent publication of the book Afro-Puerto Rican Rhythms, by the Rafael Cepeda Foundation.
The guests shared with the students their trajectories as musicians and researchers of the theme of the African roots in Puerto Rican music.
The teachers also demonstrated rhythms and touches for thebomba and plena on bothbomba barrels and drums.
