Accreditations

The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music is an institution accredited by the Midlle State Commission on Higher Education.

The MSCHE is an accrediting institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), 11250 Roger Bacon Drive, Suite 21, Reston, VA 20190-5248

Member since 2002. NASM is a national accreditation agency specializing in accrediting music programs, recognized by the United States Department of Education and the organization Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). NASM accredits both university programs and pre-university programs aimed at the community.

The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico (CMPR) is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org. CMPR's accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. The Commission's most recent action on the institution's accreditation status on June 22, 2023 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is recognized by the US Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission's geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.
