Light In The Piazza by Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas. This Saturday, November 22, 2025 on CMPR

Come and enjoy an adaptation of “Light In The Piazza” by Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas.
This Saturday, November 22, 2025! At the Bertita and Guillermo Martínez theater in the Jesús María Sanromá hall.

Presented by Professor Kimberly García's musical theater workshop, with the participation of 10 students from the jazz department and the classical music department.

Set in 1950s Italy, the story follows Clara and Fabrizio, two young people who discover unexpected love, while Clara's mother, Margaret, struggles between protecting her daughter and allowing her to live life to the fullest. In this selection, we capture the most representative vignettes of this journey: a luminous romance, a mother torn between her own feelings, and the transformative power of light and love.
