Jazz, anecdotes and a lot of learning

The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music recognizes and appreciates the valuable contributions of the artists and professors who have participated in the Jazz Forums series, an initiative of the Department of Jazz and Caribbean Music, which contributes to the teaching and strengthening of jazz performance.

During the semester, Jazz Forums hosted prominent artists such as Jerry Medina, Pete Rodríguez, Raúl “Tatoo” Rodríguez, Ángel David Matos, Norberto Ortíz, and Elías Santos Celpa, who shared their experiences, advice, and perspectives on musical practice with students and guests.

Each interview has been a space for growth, reflection, and development for the entire university community, offering the audience the opportunity to learn about the careers of the guest artists, gain valuable insights, and enjoy live performances for educational purposes.
