

She has participated in choral arts festivals and competitions in Argentina, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and various cities on the East Coast of the United States. Her stage and musical work includes recitals, operettas, zarzuela, opera and musical theater productions for companies such as the Puerto Rico Opera, the Puerto Rican Zarzuela and Opereta Foundation, CulturArte, the UPR Repertory Theater, Pro-Arte Lírico, and the Teatro Lírico D'Europa, among others. She has also been part of special concerts with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Arturo Somohano Philharmonic Orchestra, the Inter-American Arts Festival, the San Juan Children's Choir, and the Casals Festival.
Jose Camuy
Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, artist and communicator José Camuy has been active for the past fourteen years in the music and media scene. He holds a bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication with a specialization in Radio from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (UPR), where he also studied music and drama. He earned a second bachelor's degree with a concentration in Vocal Performance from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.
As a soloist and member of the main choirs of the Island, he has participated in festivals and choral art competitions in Argentina, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and various cities on the east coast of the United States. Among his stage-musical works, his participation in recitals, operettas, zarzuela, opera and musical theater productions for companies such as the Puerto Rico Opera, the Puerto Rican Zarzuela and Opereta Foundation, CulturArte, the UPR Repertory Theater, Pro-Arte Lírico, the Teatro Lírico D'Europa, among others, stands out. He has also been part of special concerts with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Arturo Somohano Philharmonic Orchestra, the Inter-American Festival of the Arts, the San Juan Children's Choir and the Casals Festival. In 2018, he was a guest soloist during the world premiere of Holy Mother by the Italian-Puerto Rican composer Alberto Guidobaldi and premiered the Puerto Rican chamber opera If you see me crying by Guarionex Morales Matos. In 2019, he debuted with great success in the city of Miami, Florida, as part of the cast and as a vocal coach in The true story of Pedro Navaja for the Prometeo Theater at Miami-Dade College. He also premiered the first scenes of the opera in concert Eva Luna by maestro Guidobaldi, inspired by the novel by the award-winning Chilean writer Isabel Allende. Recently, she was part of the inaugural cast of And the cakes?, a country opera in two acts by Johanny Navarro, with whom he works closely as a producer.
As a radio announcer and singer, his voice and image are recognized in company commercials and advertising campaigns. He produced and presented the radio program Before the moon rises on Allegro 91.3 FM (WIPR, 2012-2019). This project received the first Radio del Pueblo Award for Best Musical Program in the Metropolitan Region awarded by the Association of Broadcasters of Puerto Rico in 2015. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Opera Theater, the Metropolitan Opera Auditions of the Puerto Rican District, and served as executive director of Pro Arte Musical from August 2021 to June 2023.
