Study of the foundations and general principles of music therapy. Use of music as a therapeutic medium in different populations. Students will become familiar with music therapy competencies in accordance with the requirements established by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), the accrediting organization for music therapy programs in North American universities. (Prerequisites: EDUR 3104 or authorization from the course professor and the Dean of Academic Affairs)
Academic degree requirement:
Have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, equivalent university degree in music or those comparable offered by universities.
