

Rivera previously performed Guglielmo/Così fan tutte at the International Vocal Academy in Rome; sang several recitals with the American Masters of Opera Academy in Moscow; and made stage appearances and concert appearances as a participant at the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Tel-Aviv.

The Puerto Rican baritone, a third-year member of the Ryan Opera Center Ensemble, joined soprano Ana María Martínez, tenor Brian Jagde and pianist Craig Terry in the recital series Beyond the Aria from the Harris Theater in February 2020. In 2018/2019 he appeared in concert with the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago (Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhorn). Lyric Opera appearances include Schaunard/The Bohemian, Baron Douphol/The Traviata and Sharpless/Madame Butterfly, when he replaced a sick colleague at the last minute.

He has had constant participations in the Performing Arts Center of San Juan and in the Theater of the University of Puerto Rico, including Don Pasquale, Gianni Schicchi and Don Quixote/ Master Peter's Puppet Show by Ravel (part of the 2016 Casals Festival). Rivera earned her master’s degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. She has also participated in numerous summer programs, including VOICExperience in Savannah and the Aspen Music Festival.
