On December 7, 2024, the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico presented in Aguadilla the work: “El Niño de Aguadilla”, a piece composed by our beloved professor Amaury Veray. The work tells the story of the friendship between a boy and an old fisherman and will be staged by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and the CMPR Choir. It represents one of the institution's efforts to decentralize the presence of CMPR from San Juan and bring the offerings of our institution to all corners of the island.
CMPR signed an agreement with Allegro 91.3 FM, a radio station belonging to the Puerto Rico Corporation for Public Broadcasting (WIPR). Allegro 91.3 FM was launched in 1988 and specializes in broadcasting classical music, offering a varied, high-quality programming that includes classical compositions, concerts, and other cultural content. Allegro is the only station of its kind in the Caribbean, and its musical offering is designed to enrich the community with an exquisite and educational repertoire. This agreement allows CMPR to have an hour-long programming intervention every Friday at 4:00 p.m. to broadcast its activities and academic content. The program is moderated by the Rector of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.
The CMPR signed an agreement with the Corporation for Musical Arts on March 6, 2024. The common mission between both parties is to promote and develop the art of Puerto Rico, improve the quality of music education, and instill an appreciation of art in the community. The collaborations presented in this agreement are intended to achieve the participation of both the student community and the faculty of the Institution, as well as to be able to provide students with certain benefits that contribute to their development as professionals in the music industry.
The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico has signed a collaboration with the Cleveland Institute of Music, in order to explore new and creative opportunities for educational offerings at both institutions. In addition, they aim to enrich the cultural and performance opportunities available to students and faculty at both institutions. In addition, the CMPR and the CIM seek to promote a broad, diverse and inclusive musical education. Finally, both institutions wish to provide their students with access to high-level educational experiences.

The Parties will collaborate to develop and implement the Music, Teaching, and Puerto Rican Experience Global Experiential Learning program. In this program, students will engage in formal and informal forms of music-making situated and contextualized within Puerto Rican culture, including ensemble pedagogy and practice in schools. The program will be experiential in nature and students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in music-making activities in both educational settings and cultural music venues. These experiences include visits to schools to observe music teaching and learning; workshops with professional music ensembles in Puerto Rico to learn the styles of bomba and plena; and workshops to learn salsa dancing.
