Visit CMPR Faculty Castelló

During the month of April, the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music had the honor of receiving the visit of distinguished professors from the Superior Conservatory of Music of Castelló, Valencia, as part of an enriching academic exchange, sponsored by the ERASMUS program. This exciting collaboration marks a period of extremely enriching educational and cultural exchange for our academic community. During our guests' stay, a calendar of activities was developed that reflected the excellence and diversity of music education. Our students had the unique opportunity to participate in these activities, benefiting greatly by enriching their musical knowledge and skills.

As part of this significant exchange, which will span three years, a select group of CMPR students and professors will have the opportunity to make an artistic and educational visit to Valencia. This trip will be facilitated by the composer José Javier Peña Aguayo, who also works as a teacher in Castelló.

It is essential to highlight that these initiatives are possible thanks to the ERASMUS funding program of the European Commission. ERASMUS, as a program of the European Commission, promotes and finances the international exchange of students and teachers from the European Union in various areas, including sociology, culture, linguistics and sport, with an annual budget of 26 million euros.

We express our most sincere gratitude to the Castelló Conservatory for its commitment and contribution to making this valuable educational exchange a reality. We feel honored to participate in this initiative and hope to continue strengthening ties of collaboration and mutual enrichment in the future.
