During the first term of the new department, its director will be Professor Alfonso Fuentes. This approval allows us to diversify and strengthen the academic approach for the benefit of our student composers by providing them with unique opportunities to explore additional areas within composition.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"ES-PR\">This change will provide the opportunity to expand the focus of Composition into other emerging subspecialties, such as film and media scoring, video games, avant-garde music, world music, among others. This will open up new areas of study and growth for students, as well as opportunities to explore diverse musical expressions and practical applications of composition.
