Minimalism and Postminimalism

Historical and theoretical exploration of the movement known as minimalism of the 20th and 21st centuries. The most important figures of this movement in its beginnings, the mutual influence between them and their relationship with the plastic arts will be studied. The course includes composers reacting to minimalism in various ways in the mid-70s through to the influence of this movement in the 80s, 90s to the present.

 

Academic degree requirement:

Have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, equivalent university degree in music or those comparable offered by universities.

Days on which the course is taught: Monday and Wednesday
