The Symposium on Musical Research is the flagship event of IMPCA (Institute of Musical Research of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean). Held annually since 2014 at the Conservatory of Music, the event has become one of the most recognized academic forums in Puerto Rico for research on music-related topics. One of the main purposes of the Symposium is to present music from a multidisciplinary perspective, relating this art to different aspects of life. Previous editions include “Caribbean Bridges: Art Music across the Caribbean”; “Sound Consciousness: Music, Art, and Climate Change” and “Olas y Arenas: la música de Sylvia Rexach.”
