Summary

Therefore, this article, after developing some biographical data about the maestro Morlá Trenchs, aims to investigate the musical context in which one of his works, the Carmelite Mass, was composed, identify the aesthetic influences on this work and, Finally, explain the contribution of this mass to Puerto Rican academic music.
