CMPR represented in The Beatles Symphonic Experience: Miami edition!
Last Saturday, April 13, The Beatles Symphonic Experience concert was presented at the James L. Knight room in the city of Miami, Florida.
This concert was performed by Professor Armando Luis Ramírez (direction and arrangements) and the group The Jukebox Beatles with the Royal Symphony Orchestra/Florida Chamber Orchestra. Before an enthusiastic audience, a repertoire of songs by the iconic British group was presented, which ranged from the “Beatlemania” stage, psychedelia, and their latest production titled Abbey Road.
The public (with an attendance of over 2,000 attendees) received this musical proposal with great enthusiasm.
It should be noted that this proposal began in 2012 as part of the thematic course “The Music of The Beatles” offered by Professor Ramírez (Professor of the Department of Theory, Composition and Musicology) and presented musically with students of the institution in the concert series titled Alternate Encounters. Later it was presented at the Antonio Paoli Festival Hall, Center of Fine Arts with attendance at maximum capacity, including various guest artists, among them the singer-songwriter José Feliciano (winner of 2 Grammy Awards, 1968).
