ELIMINATION OF THE MANDATE FOR THE USE OF MASKS (OE-2022-548)

In accordance with Administrative Order No. 2022-548 of the Department of Health, which eliminates the mandate to use masks in outdoor and indoor areas, except in cases where you work or visit health facilities, such as hospitals, wards, emergency rooms, doctor's offices, health centers, clinics, clinical laboratories and prescription areas of pharmacies. The use of masks in the facilities and grounds of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music is optional.

However, this order emphasizes that "although the use of masks in child care centers (including Head Start and Early Head Start), public or private schools and universities will be optional, their use is recommended at all times in these educational institutions."

This order further reiterates that each person may, at their discretion, continue to use masks. Therefore, no person or private entity may prevent anyone from continuing to use their mask.

These measures are subject to change in accordance with the restrictions imposed by executive and administrative orders of the Governor of Puerto Rico and the Department of Health, respectively.

We urge you to continue with the following health measures:

Minimum physical distancing of six (6) feet

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use disinfectant or alcohol
